Steps of This Upholstery Cleaning Method are Universal to Most of The Upholstery Types:
-
Soak the Excess Oil: –
Use the paper towel to soak up the excess oil from the stain. Place the paper towel on the stain and blot the oil. Be very careful with this step and do not rub the oil always blot it. If you rub it the oil will spread onto more upholstery and cleaning it will be further complicated. So be sure to blot and not rub the oil. Blot the stain until all the excess oil is soaked on to the paper towel. -
Throw Baking Soda/Baby Powder on The Stain: –
Throw the powder on the stain and let it sit for some time do not put water or anything until the oil is soaked. Baking soda/baby powder will soak up the oil in the stain. After 15 minutes you can remove the excess powder from the stain by scraping it with a spoon or you can vacuum it as well. If the oil is still visible remove all the powder and add fresh powder on it. Repeat the stain until the oil is no longer visible. -
Put Soapy Water Solution on The Stain –
Make a solution of water and the dishwasher liquid. Dip a clean cloth into this solution and blot it on the stain until the stain is gone. Make sure to use the right dish-washing liquid. -
Remove the Soap: –
Take the sponge and dampen it with cold water. Press the wet sponge on the stained area until the soap is all absorbed and also if any oil is left that too will be absorbed. -
Dry the Upholstery: –
Take a clean dry cloth and place it on the liquid so that the extra liquid gets absorbed and allow the upholstery to dry. Once that is done your chair is good as new without any stains.
